Following in the footsteps of my grandmother, an opera singer who passed down her musical gifts to all eight of her children, I began studying voice at just three years old. My parents first introduced me to pop divas and church music, and my first solo performance of Whitney Houston’s “The Greatest Love of All” at age four ignited a passion for the stage that has never faded.
Throughout my childhood, I was immersed in music, growing up in church choirs and becoming a paid soloist by age 12. It was around this time that I developed a taste for jazz and began learning classical art songs. I performed at various school events, including starring as Belinda in “The Wiz Meets the Wizard,” a musical mash-up of “The Wiz” and “The Wizard of Oz.” In high school, I performed in 6 musicals and starred as Kira in “Xanadu” and Ronnette in “Little Shop of Horrors.” I also stayed busy as the soloist of my high school band. Outside of school, as the Youth Ambassador of Historic Filipinotown in Los Angeles, I lent my voice at numerous events for the Filipino community.
When it was time for college, I chose Berklee College of Music in Boston, a place where I could fully explore my musical potential. At Berklee, I thrived, participating in ensembles and showcases and producing three recitals across various genres. At my commencement concert, I had the honor of performing “Everything’s Coming up Roses” in front of EGOT winner Rita Moreno and a crowd of 7,000.
For the past nine years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students of all ages. Music has given me so much, and it’s a true joy to share that gift with others.
Whether you’re just beginning your musical journey or looking to refine your skills, I’m here to help you unlock your vocal potential.
